Recently we hosted vaccination clinics for each of our senior living communities. Community Senior Life is proud to report our vaccination statistics are well above the national average for senior living communities with 87% of our 713 residents and 42% of our 305 employees successfully receiving both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. With vaccines becoming more available, we anticipate this number to increase in the coming weeks.
The outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 caused a worldwide pandemic. As we continue to navigate these unique times, there have been many questions regarding the best practices on stopping the spread of the virus and protecting ourselves and our loved ones.
Community Senior Life is embarking on an ambitious hiring drive with plans to fill all open full-time and part-time positions at Homestead Village of Pensacola. Positions include working with Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care senior residents.

As of December 21, 2020, The Huntingdon Assisted Living at Homestead Village of Fairhope has two employees and four Assisted Living residents with confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.
Orange Beach, AL - Gulf Coast Media held their Big Beautiful Baldwin’s Best of 2021 contest to recognize and celebrate the best businesses, employees, and attractions of Baldwin County, Alabama. The community was encouraged to cast their vote and share who they think is the best in Big Beautiful Baldwin in a host of categories.
We are excited to start the COVID-19 vaccine consent process for our Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. While we do not yet have the vaccine, we need to be prepared when we do receive it. The CDC states that the vaccination will be an important tool in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic is causing families to make difficult decisions about bringing elderly loved ones into their 2020 Thanksgiving celebrations. Community Senior Life urges all residents, employees, families, and sponsors to plan ahead and take steps to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19 and the flu as they celebrate, and to be mindful of the significant potential for infection.

Homestead Village of Florida currently has one (1) staff member who has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee last worked on 28 October but was not in the community during the previous five (5) days. The employee is quarantined away from the community and is currently doing well.
