Yesterday, the Governor of Florida announced designated visitors will be allowed to visit their loved ones in Long-Term Care communities.

On August 1st, two employees tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In response, per Community Senior Life protocols, the entire Assisted Living residency and all Homestead Village employees were tested on August 3rd. All results were received as of this morning and we can now confirm that out of 59 total tests, all employees were negative, but unfortunately 4 Assisted Living residents, and 1 Independent Living resident tested positive.
Gulf Shores, AL [July 28, 2020] – After an employee self-reported a positive COVID test result, the nursing staff at Haven Memory Care conducted 66 on-site COVID-19 tests among all memory care residents and staff members.

Foley, ALA – Traditionally, Live Oak Village awards one employee of the month. But for April, Robin Sweet, Executive Director of Live Oak Village and her management team decided that each employee at the Assisted Living community would receive that honor.
Foley, ALA – Bill Wall, a homeowner at Live Oak Village recently celebrated his 95th birthday. With the social distancing restrictions surround COVID-19, Mr. Wall was honored by a drive by tribute from the Foley Fire Department, Foley Police Department, and parade of vehicles full of family and friends complete with honks, waves, signs, balloons, and cards.
The Coronavirus has affected many aspects of our operations. Today, we were notified that we may experience difficulty obtaining certain meats, because of processing plants being closed.

On April 22, the nursing staff at Homestead Village of Pensacola assisted Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital in conducting 163 on-site COVID-19 tests across its assisted living and memory care residents and staff members.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis gave Florida long-term care facilities notice that the Department of Health will conduct testing of residents and staff for the coronavirus.
As of April 19, 2020, Community Senior Life has had two employees at Homestead Village of Pensacola with confirmed positive cases of COVID-19.
