"The Longest Day is the day with the most light — the summer solstice. On June 20, people from across the world will fight the darkness of Alzheimer's... (act.alz.org)"
The Longest Day may look a little different this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing, but that will not stop us from continuing to fight for a cure! We are extending an invitation to the family and friends of Homestead Village to come out on Saturday, June 20th, and help us fight the darkness with a Purple Passion Parade.
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m., and we ask all participants to arrive at 9:30 a.m. We will meet in the back parking lot behind Cottage K. We ask that you decorate your vehicles with our Purple Passion theme in mind. We will have all residents on the porches of the cottages as family and friends drive through the campus spreading love, not germs.
Participating in this event will bring awareness to Alzheimer’s disease and bring smiles to our residents' faces. We will need a count of how many vehicles will be participating in the parade.
Please RSVP by contacting Malisa Williams at (850) 941-5080 or Tiki Whitacre at (850) 941-5081. We cannot wait to see the smiles you will bring to all the residents' faces. Thank you in advance for your participation and cooperation!
